How should a “Sequence Listing XML” file be named?
According to MPEP 2413.02, the naming convention for a “Sequence Listing XML” file is as follows:
“Be named as *.xml, where “*” is one character or a combination of characters limited to upper- or lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores, and the name does not exceed 60 characters in total, excluding the extension. No spaces or other types of characters are permitted in the file name.“
This means that the file should have a .xml extension, and the name can include letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores, but must not exceed 60 characters (excluding the .xml extension). Spaces and other special characters are not allowed in the file name.
