What happens to patent applications subject to a Secrecy Order at the USPTO?

Applications subject to a Secrecy Order will be:

  • Deleted from any image file system within the USPTO
  • Converted to paper
  • Held with Licensing and Review
  • Transferred to a designated examiner for examination
