What document descriptions should be used when attaching reproductions in EFS-Web?
The MPEP 2909.02(a) provides specific guidance on the document descriptions to use when attaching reproductions in EFS-Web for international design applications. According to the MPEP:
“Users attaching reproductions under either the “Attach Reproductions” section or the “Attach Documents other than Reproductions” section should use the document description “drawings – only black and white line drawings” or “drawing – other than black and white line drawings”, as appropriate.”
This means you should choose the description that best fits your reproductions:
- Use “drawings – only black and white line drawings” if your reproductions are solely black and white line drawings.
- Use “drawing – other than black and white line drawings” for any other type of reproduction, such as photographs or color drawings.
Selecting the correct document description helps ensure that your reproductions are properly identified and processed in the application.
