Simultaneous issuance of patents refers to the process where multiple allowed patent applications are issued as patents at the same time. According to MPEP 1306.02, “Where applications have been allowed and a Notice of Allowance and Fee(s) Due (PTOL-85) has been mailed in each application, a request for simultaneous issuance will be granted.” This process ensures that related patents are published concurrently, which can be beneficial for certain strategic or legal reasons.
