What does MPEP 707.07(e) require patent examiners to do when reviewing amended applications?

MPEP 707.07(e) requires patent examiners to note all outstanding requirements against an application when reviewing an amended application. The section states:

“In taking up an amended application for action the examiner should note in every letter all the requirements outstanding against the application.”
