What is the competency of Rospatent as an International Searching Authority?

Rospatent’s competency as an International Searching Authority extends to specific types of applications. According to MPEP 1840.04: “The Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) (Russian Federation) has informed the International Bureau that it is prepared to search and examine international applications in all fields of technology.” This means Rospatent is competent to conduct international searches for PCT applications across all technological domains.
