What are the requirements for submitting a sequence listing on compact disc?

When submitting a sequence listing on compact disc, the following requirements must be met:

  • The compact disc must be in read-only format (CD-ROM or CD-R).
  • Two copies of the compact disc must be submitted.
  • The compact discs must be labeled with specific information.
  • A statement must be included in the transmittal letter indicating the contents of the compact disc.

As stated in MPEP 2422.03: “Two copies of the compact disc are required, one copy to be placed in the application file, the second copy to be forwarded to the Scientific and Technical Information Center (STIC).”
