Language-dependent free text elements in a “Sequence Listing XML” are parts of the sequence listing that contain descriptive text which may be in a language other than English. These elements are defined in 37 CFR 1.833(b)(3). Examples might include descriptions of genetic features or experiment conditions. When these elements are initially submitted in a non-English language, they require translation into English to comply with USPTO requirements.
