How should design and view numbers be assigned to reproductions in EFS-Web?

According to MPEP 2909.02(a), when submitting reproductions through the “Attach Reproductions” section of EFS-Web, applicants are required to assign design and view numbers to each file. The MPEP states:

“The “Attach Reproductions” section will prompt the user to assign a design and view number to each file attached under this section.”

This means that as you upload each reproduction file, you’ll need to specify which design it represents and what view of that design it shows. This information is crucial for properly organizing and identifying the various aspects of your design in the application.

It’s important to note that each file should contain only one view of the design, as the MPEP specifies: “Each image file attached through the “Attach Reproductions” section should contain only one view of the design.”
